goodness gracious, people. i’ve fallen in love with an armchair.
but, seriously, can you blame me?
i think my subscription to the uk’s living, etc. is going to cause a lot of trouble and heartache…
my version of the most perfect outfit for going out. over and out.

if i were ever going to have my own working space, i think i’d love it if it looked something very close to this:
consuelo castiglioni never makes it easy to be a marni girl. you have to really believe in it, you have to really want it, to be a true admirer of her design aesthetic.
on first glance, i can completely appreciate someone telling me, upon hearing that marni is my ‘favourite’ label, that they think it’s just “ugly”, “unwearable”, or plumb “unflattering”… my thinking, however, is if it challenges you and you still see some beauty in the thing you love, than that is worth more than something that’s completely obvious. i don’t mind an obstacle or two to get me where i’m going.

hi, i’m misshoax. i’ve been writing small meanderings about fashion over at a wee bit skint for about five years now.
lately though, i’ve realized that posting has become pressure, and feeling bad about neglecting the blog has weighed heavily on me. it’s just that it dawned on me recently that although i still love, lust, and have a sincere curiosity about the world of fashion, i just don’t need to write about it and only it, anymore. there are so many things that i’m curious about, so many other things that interest me: books, music, design, and yes, now that there’s a wee little babe in my life, things about being a parent – that i’ve decided to close up shop at a wee bit skint. i’ve shacked up someplace new, and have started a new place to meander nonsensically. welcome to my new abode.
i’m starting out at a slack pace, so that i can work out what i want only style remains to be, and how i want it to look, feel and sound – but, until then, hi… it’s good to be somewhere new.
